The juice is the commission that the book takes on your bets and ensures that the bookie is always profitable.
In many countries, it’s also called “vig.” The juice is most often transparently listed next to a point spread. Juice exists on every type of sports bet, from classic moneyline bets to futures bets.
For example, if you’re betting on an NBA game between the Boston Celtics (-140) and the Chicago Bulls (+120) this 20-cent line gap between the offered lines is the juice.
