The puck line is a variation of the popular point spread and is used in hockey. As hockey is generally a low-scoring game, the puck line adds betting value to a game by including -1.5 for the favorite and +1.5 for the underdog.
For instance, in a hockey game between the Canucks (-1.5) and the Flyers (+1.5), the puck line indicated that the latter team is the underdog.
If you bet the puck line on the Flyers, they can win or lose by one goal for you to win the bet. If you bet on the Canucks, they need to win by at least two goals for you to get the puck line bet right.
