The handle refers to the total amount of money bet on a market. In other words, it’s the amount of money bettors have wagered in the book for a specific period of time.
The sportsbook’s handle includes all of the money in play. This makes it different from the sportsbook’s revenue, which only accounts for the money left after all of the bets are settled.
